With Christmas coming up (and Thanksgiving around the corner) I want to talk about the Early Gift Givers. You know, the ones who ALWAYS give the Christmas present early. The ones who can’t wait until your birthday to give you your present. I AM THEM! THEY ARE ME.😂. This drives some people crazy! Especially when you have young children and The Elf is up and the calendar is being marked off. I lost my parents in my early 30’s. My son was 7 when his grandmother passed and 8 when he lost his grandfather. The Christmas after he lost his grandmother, she had bought gifts for him earlier ( probably July, lol). She wrapped them and even wrote on the packages. He was so happy when he opened them! He even looked up for a second ( we all did) to see her. Even though she was there in spirit and heart, it would have been so sweet to see her face and be able to hug her neck.
So many times we wait.... We wait until the “perfect moment”, the “right time” or “when your supposed too”. I was the worst! So, here’s the thing. The perfect moment isn’t a time; it’s a feeling. The right time is the part where you feel pure joy and have the biggest smile. When your supposed too is when you DO; listen to your heart and your gut-when they line up they never lie. Tomorrow is not promised. Every day you have your health, your faith and the people you love is GOLDEN. Give the gift. Give the hug. Send the text. Say the words. Lead with love 💚
