“Rest Day”, “Mental Health Day”, “Self Care”, “Hobby”. Whatever you call them,we all have the need for time. Uninterrupted, serenity during which our minds let go of all of the baggage; clean out the closets so to speak. When we can exhale really deep and our posture changes. It might be reading, getting out in nature, binge watching a favorite show or working out. Whatever yours is, we all have them.
The days that allow us to recharge and do all the awesome stuff that we do in day to day life. We know that this an effect on our bodies by lifting stress and all of its physical and mental manifestations. This process has many forms but the same results. Healthier, happier spouses, children, parents, friends, cousins......happier people! As important as it is to ask for and reserve time for ourselves, it wouldn’t be possible without an awesome support system around us. These are our spouses, parents and friends that give us the space to make sure we ”are good”. These are the people who pick up your slack while you take care of you so you can better for them. We should all be more mindful to take time to renew our spirits and bodies. We should also remember to thank the people who make it possible. Let’s all take care of ourselves and be considerate of others to do the same💚
