My Diet is Crap-What Now?

Let’s talk nutrition🙌 when me, you or anyone starts on the journey to improve their health, nutrition is usually the weakest area. Alot of things greater than my appetite can play a role in why I’m eating what I’m eating. Are you a boredom eater? Are you an emotional eater? Are you purposely NOT eating for periods of time because of the way you view your body? That’s what makes our nutrition so hard for us to get in a groove — if it was just about appetite it would be easier, lol. The absolute key to making this change is to acknowledge what kind of eater you are! Sit in it and make the commitment to yourself to deal with it! Also know that it will not be fixed over night, you will work on that daily. When you are starting to make improvements in your nutrition the first thing to remember is everyone is different so don’t compare your meals to someone else’s that is on their own health journey. Always prioritize any existing health conditions like high blood pressure, cholesterol, arthritis, diabetes, gout, etc and don’t hesitate to ask your doctor for meal plans for your condition. Research on your own supplements and diet recipe plans that fit for you( be mindful about probiotics and gut health). As you start gathering ideas remember that you don’t have to be to the letter with exotic ingredients or foods you don’t like. One of the biggest mistakes we make is trying to fit our pallet and budget to someone else’s! Experiment and find what works for you. The next thing is looking at food different. Start looking at your choices based on what you can eat that will make your body perform better. What do you like that likes your body back? In addition to the enormous internal health benefits of eating healthy, what we put in our bodies has a direct effect on pain level, mood, hormone balance, energy level and so much more!! Consistency is the absolute foundation of any healthy lifestyle. Stay consistent with your choices and over time it becomes your lifestyle! Remember to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of 💦 each day🤗 and go kill it sisters💚✌️
