What Do You Do When The Wheels Fall Off

Have the wheels fallen off of your wagon? Are you beating yourself up for falling out of your routine with exercise and eating healthier? This time of year is extra hard. The time has changed, the days are shorter, time outside is cut way back; and then there’s the holiday celebrations! This is something that happens from time to time. You’ll always have changes in your job or home routine of some kind, you’ll have more stress sometimes. Life happens! Take it one day at a time. Something that helps me when I start getting derailed is to work on integrating 1 fresh ingredient into at least one meal of the day. There are more ways to eat fresh other than a salad with a meal. Put more prep into that meal. Chop something, peel something, prepare at least 1 fresh ingredient. It gets you in the habit of preparing your meals and it helps bring fresher ingredients ( i.e. fruits and vegetables) into your overall diet. Garlic salt-fresh garlic. Onion powder-fresh onion. Tomato sauce-cook some tomatoes and mash them up. Slice fresh fruit and put in some overnight oats for the next days breakfast. Be creative and have fun. Make what you like and tweak it with something fresh🥦🌶🥗🍅
